The ACCURUS^® Surgical System offers a wide range of probe technology for the ultimate in surgeon control. ACCURUS^® Surgical System probes are designed to be lightweight and disposable while offering wide dynamic ranges designed for optimized flow rates.

Flow rate ranges are accessed when using the new 3D Technology mode, with vacuum and cut rate controlled simultaneously. Ports are located close to the distal end for improved positioning and cutting with a cut rate range of up to 2500 cpm.

Alcon is continually introducing higher-performance probes for:

• Vitreous base dissections
• Shaving of the vitreous in the vicinity of detached (mobile) retina
• Dissection (with aspiration) of membranes

Probe sizes available include:

20-gauge

• Several high-performance vitrectomy probes designed to reduce traction and increased stability when cutting close to the retina
• Probe speeds up to 2500 cpm are now available

23-gauge

• High speed 2500 cpm probe engineered to reduce traction
• Designed to increase stiffness and stability
• Ideal flow rates
• Vitrectomy probe port is 50% closer to the tip than 20-gauge instruments, which can allow for more precise shaving at the retina

25-gauge

• Lightweight pneumatic 1500 cpm vitrectomy probe designed for reducing traction and increasing stability when cutting close to the retina
• Smooth, stable, guillotine-cutting action with excellent flow rates
